Today was the day Derek got to come home from the hospital. CJ and Toby got his room all ready. They bought him some clothes and some new toys. CJ had moved some of her things over to Toby's house, but she wasn't fully moved in yet.
"You think he's going to like the room?" Toby asked CJ as she finished making the bed.
"I think so, it's a kids dream room in here." She smiled.
"CJ...We haven't really talked about the marrage thing yet." Toby said nervously.
"Yeah, I know, I thought we were going to wait until Derek gets settled."
"Yeah, I know. I was just thinking about it." Toby smiled.
"You know something." CJ smiled and wrapped her arms around Toby. "I love you, you do know that."
"Yes I do." Toby smiled.
"Then trust me when I tell you that I want to marry you. Let's just get Derek back on his feet, and get me all the way moved in first." CJ kissed Toby. "I think I can handle that." Toby smiled and kissed her back.
"Why don't we go get our son?" CJ smiled.
"I'm loving the sound of that." Toby grabbed CJ and dashed down the stairs.
The two walked into the hospital, and this time no one from the press was there. Toby had made sure that no one from the press would be allowed anywhere near Derek, CJ, or himself. They walked into Derek's room.
"Hi there," CJ said as she walked in and kissed Derek on the head. "How are you feeling today?"
"Very ready to go home," Derek said, smiling.
"Good, because that's where you're going now," Toby said. "Just as soon as I sign the release papers, you are out of here." He smiled at Derek.
Derek smiled back. "Well, all of my things are packed...All two pairs of clothes and a few other things," he said, holding up a bag.
"Great, why don't you and I go into the lobby and wait for Toby to finish signing all the release forms," CJ suggested.
"Sounds good to me." Derek hopped off of the bed and followed CJ out of the room.
"Okay, it's all done," Toby said a few minutes later as he walked up to CJ and Derek. "Ready to go home?"
"Yep." Derek took a hold of both CJ's and Toby's hands, and the three walked out of the hospital.
"Hey Toby?" Derek said as he got in the car.
"What?"
"Did CJ get moved in?"
"Sort of."
"What's that mean?"
"She has some of her things there. She should be all moved in my this weekend." Toby smiled.
"Good." Derek smiled.
"You're really excited huh?" Toby laughed.
"Yep. I thought she wasn't going to move in."
"Why did you think that?" Toby asked as CJ walked up to them.
"I got a call from someone this morning and said that she was going to move far away. That she didn't want to marry you."
"Who called you?" CJ asked.
"Some guy I never heard of. Danny something."
"Let's get going." Toby tried not to yell in front of Derek.
CJ got into the car, as did Derek and Toby. "We'll talk later," she mouthed to him. He nodded and drove home.
"Here we are," Toby said a little while later. "Home sweet home."
"Cool! Is my room one of those windows?" Derek pointed to one that had a perfect view of the Capital building.
"Yes, actually, it is," CJ said. "Why don't you go inside and look at your room from the inside. We'll be there in a minute."
"Okay!" He ran into the house. CJ turned to Toby, who was looking as if he was going to pound his car into a million pieces. "Okay, first of all, I didn't even know he was out of jail. Second, I had no idea he leaked that to the press," she said as calmly as possible.
"I am going to kill that son of a--"
"Toby, please. Don't start talking like that. It will only make things worse," CJ said softly.
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
"Besides, what kind of power does he have over us? I mean, we have Sam, Josh, Leo, and even the President to back us up. I don't think we need to worry. And everyone already knows we're a couple."
"That's true," he said, taking a deep breath. "Come on, let's go inside and see how our son likes his new room."
"Okay." They walked inside.
"I love it!" Derek yelled as soon as CJ and Toby walked in. "It's the best."
"I told you he would like it." CJ elbowed Toby softly.
"Yeah, yeah." Toby smiled.
"Hey Toby, can you teach me how to work the computer?"
"If you really want to learn how to work it I would probably have Sam help you. He knows more about computers than me." Toby smiled.
"Ok. Thanks for being honest." Derek screamed from upstairs. CJ and Toby started laughing then the phone rang.
"Hello." Toby answered.
"It's Leo, we have a problem."
"What's wrong?"
"Something was delivered to the pressroom today."
"What is it?"
"It's a police report."
"Of what?"
"When you were arrested for drug possession and driving while under the influence."
"This is not happening." Toby hit the wall. "Leo, they didn't have..."
"It also has the report of you assaulting a police officer."
"Damn!" Toby yelled, but got quiet when he remembered Derek. "Who gave..."
"Guess."
"Damn!" He said, trying to be as quiet as possible. "Okay, I'm on my way there now."
"Okay," Leo said. The two then hung up.
Toby looked at CJ, "This is going to be a long day," he said.
